Parnell Woodard
Parnell Woodard is a former multi-unit franchisee turned technology strategist who now serves as a fractional CTO for emerging and growing franchise systems.
He owned and operated two Elements Massage franchise locations—one of which became the fastest-growing unit in the network at the time. That hands-on experience as a franchisee revealed a consistent gap: franchise systems were making critical technology decisions without anyone in the room who understood both the franchise model and the technology.
That insight led Parnell to build Adaptive, a reporting and analytics platform designed specifically for franchise brands. He built it, scaled it, and sold it. Along the way, he saw the same patterns repeat across every system he worked with—fragmented data, inconsistent definitions, agency dependency, and technology stacks held together with duct tape.
Today, through The Franchise CTO, Parnell works hands-on with franchise systems in the 100–300 location range, tackling the technology and data challenges that emerge at that critical growth stage—from marketing data warehouse implementation and call tracking consolidation to AI strategy and system integration.
